Argentinean artist Fabian Perez is inspiring his fans to pick up a brush and get painting.
YouTube videos of Fabian Perez explaining his creative process have resulted in a number of responses from people claiming that they have taken an interest in creating art because of the influential nature of the South American.
YouTube user KingSaint said that Fabian Perez prints had inspired him to take up painting and that producing art helped bring out a creative side that he did not realise he possessed.
Fellow YouTube user Jasemusica3 said that the quality of Fabian Perez paintings was encouraging them to produce artwork from the romantic genre.
Fabian Perez does not like to categorise his work but has reluctantly labelled his style as 'emotionalism'.
Perez has expressed his admiration for famous Impressionists such as Monet, Manet and Degas and been compared to English artist Hamish Blakely.
He said: "My work is full of energy, but still, you can see a peaceful reflection in most of my subjects. I thought about giving a name to my style, but that might limit my evolution as a painter."
The Argentinean experiments with different painting materials but normally uses acrylics for his artwork and Fabian Perez prints due to the simple fact that they dry quicker compared to oils.
"With acrylics, I can enjoy the painting process in real time, without having to wait hours or even days for the colours to dry," he added.
The artist has enjoyed success in recent years having been selected to produce paintings for the 2009 Annual Latin Grammy Awards and the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Fabian Perez prints are regularly exhibited in museums and galleries around America and Europe, while Britain has experienced a number of visits from the artist over the past few years.
Not content with being an internationally renowned artist, Fabian Perez is also a keen martial artist and regularly writes books about his unconventional and inspiting life such as the well received Reflections of a Dream.
Fine art publisher Robert Bane said: "Fabian Perez is an artist of the world, his palette knows no boundaries nor borders. You will be touched by his intimate study of the relationship of his subjects and his ability to capture their compelling and powerful features."
Fabian Perez won an award for his painting "Living in the Present" in 1995 while exhibiting in Italy where he lived after leaving Argentina following the death of his parents.
