Should You `Be Yourself' In Your Flirting Adventures'

Does 'Being Yourself' help or hurt in your flirting adventures?

Isn't that an interesting point to ask?

There is probably no phrase that gets more attention than, 'Be Yourself '. Let's take a look at it - and see if if is really good advice.

If 'shyness 'is part of your personality - does the advice of 'being yourself 'make sense?

For example:

1. It can be a truly appealing trait in that it can project a type of innocence and freshness, or
2. It can portray an awkwardness that is very detrimental to you in 'putting your best foot forward'.

So, like most aspects of our personality, it is a two sided coin. If you find that it is an impediment for you, than certainly in this case, being yourself is not to your advantage.

Isn't it simple when you look at it objectively?

Remember, most of the people who are giving the advice of: Be yourself, act confident, etc. really often don't know:
1. how to attract women,
2. get a guy, or
3. make friends.

By using your own appraisal, and tools that are available to you, you can change your life fairly quickly.

Here is an interesting quote, that I know you have heard before:

The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same things, and expecting different results.

To follow this through, if you are not having success in the arena of flirting - then 'being yourself' is not going to change anything for you.

Isn't it grand when common sense takes precedence over well - meaning advice?

So, when does the advice to 'Be Yourself' make sense? Well, if you are striking out in the flirting scene by trying to be something or someone that you really aren't, then it does truly make sense.

Also, when you are advised to 'be yourself' frequently the person giving you that advice thinks that you are indeed a special person, which we all are in our own way-- and that you are not letting your true personality come out.

To be frank and brutally honest, if you were 100 % (or at least successful in your flirting endeavors most of the time) you would not be reading this article.

So, let's say that you sense the need for improvement, and you have covered the basic essentials such as:

1. conversation starters
2. funny pick up lines (usually useless and counter - productive for most people)
3. etiquette
4. dress for success

And yet, you are not scoring.

Did you ever hear the phrase from that great ageless entertainer - Pearl Bailey?

You never find yourself until you face the truth

So, if you are not getting yourself where you want to be, Don't worry! it is so easy to access great tools that are available - Tools that are proven, guaranteed to work, and designed to fill gaps that you may have.

Be Yourself? Maybe, maybe not!
