Many people are hesitant to quit smoking because they do not know where to start. Aside from not knowing, it also gives them a good excuse to continue their habit.
Though they continue smoking, deep inside, they know what they are putting themselves into. What they need is the right motivation to quit smoking. If you are a smoker and you want to quit because you want to have a healthier body, then you should start by committing yourself to it.

The more cigarettes you smoke, the more nicotine gets accumulated inside of you. Just imagine your lungs being filled with the harmful substance nicotine every day of your life if you do not quit.
Such a practice will put a great deal of strain in your heart which can increase your chances of getting a heart disease. To quit smoking then, your first step is making the decision. Once you made your decision, build up your motivation in stopping your habit.
You can do this by constantly reminding yourself of the diseases that could affect you if you don't stop. To remind yourself about this, you can use a pen and a paper. Write down all the possible diseases that you could soon experience if you don't quit smoking.
Make sure that you write them in bold letters. Once you have done it, make sure to post it on a place where you frequently pass by, or spend time in. For example, you can post it at the door of your room, or post it on the front of your refrigerator.
There are many ways you can do to help yourself in quitting smoking. However, quitting this habit is just a good start to prevent heart disease. Take note that one of the things you would experience in stopping your smoking habit is an increase in your appetite.
Being overweight can also increase your potential for a heart disease. Therefore, you should also eat a balance diet, and do some exercise routines to prevent the dreaded heart disease.
