The Power of Thought

Copyright (c) 2010 Jim Gerlits

The whole idea about myself is borrowed-borrowed from those who have no idea of who they are themselves. What an unbelievable statement and unfortunately it is usually true.

The reason it is true is that change is hard and many times we don't even know that we can change or that we are able to have any thing in this life that we can dream of. How is it possible to be able to say such a thing?

We are who we are and what we are because of what we think about. Tell me what you think about and I will tell you who you are. Could that possibly be true? Absolutely!

We were created to always win and we always do win! How can I possibly make such a statement? There are a lot of things in my life that I do not want! If I do not want these things, how is that considered winning? Let me give you an example.

You say, "I would like to have an income of a hundred thousand dollars a year". I say why don't you have that kind of income? You say, "the reason I don't make that kind of money is because I don't have a college education. No one I work with or know makes that much money. My family would feel bad if I made more money than they did and would think I'm uppity or better than they are". Those are all good reasons that you are not making a hundred thousand a year. Does that not make you a winner? You have several reasons for not having that income and in actuality you do not, all though you do have what you believe. Making you a winner!

If you just change your thought process or desire for a new life, you can have it! Actually changing your life is not going to be easy. Do not get me wrong! The reason it is not easy is because we have been taught one way our whole life and usually by people that we love and respect.

Now, you have to change those thoughts! Who is going to be watching you change? Who will be giving you advice while you are changing? The very same people that helped you think the way you are now.

All is not lost! You just need to make a plan and then work the plan. In the mean time, do not tell any one what you are doing unless they support you and your dream.

The first thing in your plan is setting goals! There are many books, courses, and other products "on goal setting" that will enable you to make a wonderful plan and show you how to choose the best tools to accomplish all your dreams!
