Pasta Recipe Ideas For Friends

You can make a delicious, impressive dish without having to spend a whole lot of money or suffering a ton of tress. With a simple pasta recipe you can serve a dish that has a gorgeous array of colors, is filled with flavor, and best of all simple to make. Your feast can be ready in jiff, but taste like it took hours to prepare.

Pasta can be a rich hearty dish. It can also be a light, summery affair with the right ingredients. Having a quality wine on hand to serve with any pasta a dish is a simple way to kick your meal up a notch. When it is properly chosen it can enhance the flavors that you have added to the pasta. For this recipe a chilled, dry white wine is recommended.

Fill a large pot with water and place on the burner at high. Make sure that the pot is large enough for your pasta to have plenty of room to boil and cook through without sticking.. Add tri-color pasta when the water is at a full boil. You don't want to cook the pasta thoroughly yet as it will later simmer in a sauce that will help soften the noodles further. Remove and drain the pasta just when it is al dente.

In a deep skillet or wok add one teaspoon of virgin olive oil and heat. Add chopped garlic and slice mushroom and brown both lightly. Once this has been accomplished you can add a can of finely chopped, stewed tomatoes that have been seasoned with basil and oregano. These can be purchased with the seasonings already added or you can cut your own basil and add fresh or dried oregano yourself.

For more adventurous palates you can also lightly sautee or pan sear pine nuts. This will and interesting layers of flavor to the dinner, but is not recommended for finicky eaters. For individuals not fond of garlic, pine nuts can in fact be substituted as one of the dominant seasonings.

Let this mixture simmer until the flavors come together. Add one cup of finely chopped spinach, fresh or frozen. Let this return to a slow boil and then slowly mix in one quarter cup of cream, preferably heavy, and one quarter cup of fresh gorgonzola cheese. This can then be seasoned with either sea salt or regular table salt to your preference. You can add your pasta to this sauce as it simmers and let the noodles slowly soften to the desired texture.

Serve this in your finest serving dish, topped with parmesan cheese that has been fresh shredded. A side salad will make a phenomenal compliment to this dish, especially one with dark greens and a light vinegar and oil dressing. With a good wine selection, your guest will be warm, full and quite content.
