Sure Shot Stress Management Techniques

Sometimes we end up thinking what if we had a 48 hr day? We will be able to better utilize time, but the fact remains that our stress levels have nothing to do with the availability of time. It has everything to do with the way you manage your available time. At times you might have noticed that you end up consuming more time in doing a particular time than you are actually suppose to. This is due to improper utilization of time which in turn causes stress because of the inability to meet not just one deadline but all subsequent deadlines. Thus in order to deal with stress, you need to change the way you conduct your operations in your day to day life. Here I will share some of the techniques to efficient stress management.

The first and most important technique is to express your feelings. Few people have a habit of bottling up their emotions. These bottled up emotions in turn acquire enough pressure to bring you down completely and may even result into depression. Avoid such situations and try and talk out your feelings about any particular person or thing openly and in a respectable way. Do not hesitate. If your feelings are true they will surely be reciprocated. This is important to avoid resentment from building within you as resentment causes stress in one's life.

Accept the fact that each of us needs to band and compromise a little to come on a common ground which is acceptable to both parties. If however one person compromises and the other do not, it will build resentment and depression in the other and he may try and build resistance in himself to deal with such situations in the future. He may also become violent due to unacknowledged contribution.

It is important to analyze your situations and be more assertive at times. For example if you are preparing for your next morning exam and a chatty relative comes up who just wouldn't budge from your room, tell him on his face that you have got your exams and that you need to study. You can do this in a polite way to even not hurt other person's feelings. Dealing with situations head on can be a big stress avoider rather than a reliever. Do not commit to things you cannot do. Over commitment is always harmful to you both on your physical as well as emotional health and it may even spoil your relationships in the long run.

The last important thing to do is to learn and manage your time better. If you have your guest coming down in the evening, try and finish your home lessons by afternoon, so that you can have the best of both the worlds. You can even enjoy and have fun with the guests while you home lessons also do not suffer and does not create anxiety and stress within you to perform on the next day.
