A lot of people in a bid to write articles, at one time or the other, just fall short of getting article topics.
There are many different sources of inspiration for article topics and they include the following:
=> What areas of Internet Marketing are unclear to you and in respect of which you are seeking answers?
Many others are also probably seeking answers to them. As you get answers to these questions and learn more about these subject areas, then start writing articles revolving around the questions you had.
Important to insert your targeted keywords in title appropriately
=> Look through forums for very common questions and start researching about these
The common questions may imply an audience base for such questions which suggests that articles on them will have wide readership.
By using "google search" to find information on the keywords in these questions on sites ranked for it, you can never be short of needed input.
Important to then shuffle the various information in your "brain box" and come out with an original article and not "duplicate content"
=> Use Google Keyword Tool to check for various long tail keywords for the major keywords of your site
Examine the highly searched for but with low competition keyword phrases and research on these to churn out articles. You can even derive some article titles from some searched for keyword phrases which are already in question form.
The main advantage of this is that your article is optimized for the search engines as long as you also sprinkle your keyword phrases in the article content in addition to the title.
=> Visit the high traffic and high PR article directories e.g Ezine articles and browse through the highly viewed articles in your niche
Since many are attracted to the article titles, derive your article titles from these article titles and begin your research from "google search" and "forum search". You have more than enough material to read up on.
As already highlighted above, "Duplicate content" is a no-go area. Shuffle gathered information around in your "brain box" and start reproducing articles.
=> Thorough study of the website of each business opportunity you are involved in
Read very carefully if possible a number of times, through the various websites of each business opportunity you are involved in.
Firstly, there are current/breaking news and your review of this news can result into very beautiful articles for your blog.
Secondly, there are many aspects of each business opportunity that is confusing and constituting a stumbling block to many affiliates that you can explain possibly in an "how to ..." article.
=> Breakdown all aspects of Internet Marketing as it relates to your niche into categories and then sub-categories etc
Each category and subcategory is effectively a subject area for an article. In fact for the general category or major headings, the article has to be an overview as you can not effectively do justice to such broad areas within a 450 - 900 words article.
You will discover that as you identify sub-categories for each category, the article for such more minute sub-categories can now be a fuller coverage of the subject area.
You can capitalize on this approach to deriving article topics by inserting an "appetizer" in your resource box to your advantage. Imagine a resource box like this : "Come over to Homebiz-Supermarket.com to view a continuation of articles on : Updating Your Website".
No doubt, the readers of the current article if of a high standard, will be too glad to go over to your site to view another article from you which is a continuation of the current topic.
In the above scenario, i have assumed "Updating Your Website" as a subcategory of Internet Marketing in respect of which i have just written an article covering a fraction of this sub-category. This particular article for example might have been on "Using FTP To Transfer Your Files - Uploading and Downloading"
These are a few sources of inspiration for article topics.
