The Electrolux EL6988E Vacuum Cleaner - Why It's The Business

In this article I am going to try and explain, in a non-biased manner, all of the different features of the Electrolux EL6988E Vacuum. Buying a vacuum is an investment in the future and as there has been a reasonable degree of hype surrounding this one, I thought the frank input of an actual user could be of interest. These are my thoughts on the Electrolux EL6988E Vacuum thus far.

I bought this vacuum to replace a 7 year old Infinity, and I am amazed at the difference. From Tile, pergo, to carpet, this vacuum conquers them with ease. I can mop about twice the amount of floor now before having to change mop covers because so much more dirt has been removed. I've have had this vacuum several months and remain very pleased with the purchase. The hose head and canister took some patience and getting used to, but the results have been worth the learning curve.

The first thing that impressed me about the Electrolux EL6988E Vacuum is its ease of operation. The EL6988E has conveniently placed controls which are a godsend if you've ever struggled with getting the settings right on your vacuum. It has an automatic cord rewind that means no having to untangle the cords. It also uses a three-position height option to take care of different carpet depths. And as I've alreday mentioned, it makes switching between carpet and bare floor easy by having an on/off switch for the brush roll located on the hose handle. Not only are the tools stored in the handle with a telescopic wand, but the vacuum will also alert you when you need to change the bag.

But at the end of the day, these are mere trifles since we all know that it's performance that really counts. I'm relieved to say that the performance of the Electrolux EL6988E matches its ease of operation. Its suction is fantastic, even around wall edges. It has a very quiet operation - courtesy of its V belt technology - so I don't feel as if I'm disturbing the entire neighbourhood every time I vacuum.

It is important to note that the hose head and canister on the E16988E vacuum can be slightly cumbersome, but with a little adjustment you will get used to it. However, this didn't matter to me, because I found this particular vacuum to be exactly what I was looking for.

For my money, the Electrolux EL6988E ticks all the boxes required of a good vacuum cleaner. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.
