Detoxing the Body through Luxurious Spa Treatments

There are more ways of detoxing the body besides eating a lot of fruit and vegetables and their juices. You will love the methods that I am going to describe in this article because they are luxurious, super relaxing and fun as well.

Unlike other detox programs the methods described here aren't all about sacrifice and suffering although it always helps if you are eating a healthy diet as well. The best place to detox your body in this manner is a reputable health spa.

Foot bath

Yes, it is possible to detox your body by treating yourself to a relaxing foot bath that will wash away all the stress and strain and drive away pollutants. A spa foot bath is very different from plastic vibrating foot baths. In this kind of a detox foot bath, the water will be put in a metal container and the spa attendant will put a little electric charge in that water. Now don't scream!

It won't electrocute you or hurt you. The electric charge will help your body eliminate toxins. Contrary to what you might read not much comes out from the pores in your feet. They are excreted by the kidneys afterwards.The realization that your sinuses have drained is a sure way to know that you are detoxing!

Detoxing the body through Clay baths

Clay is widely believed to draw out and extract toxins from human body and Bentonite clay is particularly famous for this property. The problem is that although a spa clay bath is extremely relaxing and rejuvenating, you will usually have to pay through the nose for this treatment in health spas.

But you can try out clay baths or different versions of it at home. Many people prefer clay baths in spite of the expenses involved because it can draw out metals from your system which is not possible with other kinds of detox programs.

Detoxing the body through Epsom salts

You can achieve a great body detox through this old fashioned remedy. Sulfate is supplied to the body through Epsom salts and this aids in removal of body toxins. You have to dissolve about 2 cups of Epsom salts in hot bath. Relax for 20 minutes in this. Do not use any soap. Finish by showering with cool water to close the pores. This will prevent toxins that have been drawn out from being reabsorbed into your body.

Wrap yourself up in a large warm cotton towel, lie down and cover yourself with a blanket for at least 3 hours or overnight. You should sweat out more toxins through the night. Shower off in the morning with a neutral pH natural soap. Fresh vegetable juices and pure water and will help replenish minerals and fluid losses.

Detoxing the body can also be done through skin brushing, herbal steams, contrast showers and other such methods which will help increase your circulation and benefit your health at the same time.
